Meeting Location

The Chattanooga Grotto meets the second Monday of every month at the Chattanooga Nature Center in Tiftonia, Tennessee.

Driving Directions:

From Downtown:

Go south on Broad Street, towards Lookout Mountain.
When you get near Lookout Mountain (the big mountain in front of you), Broad Street will bear to the right and turn into Cummings Highway/US-11/US-41.
Stay on Cummings Highway as it goes around the front of the mountain. Your passengers will have a great view of Chattanooga on this road :-).
Once you've started going downhill for a bit, turn left on to Old Wauhatchie Pike.
After a few hundred feet, turn right on Garden Road. This leads all the way to the Nature Center Parking lot.
The room we meet in is on your left as you look at the Nature Center from the Parking lot. There is a stone walkway leading to the door. We're directly across from the snake terrariums.

From I-24:

Get off on the Brown’s Ferry Road exit (exit 175). If were traveling in I-24 West, you'll take a left after you exit. You'll take a right after the exit if you were traveling on I-24 East. You'll now be driving roughly east, towards Lookout Mountain.
Turn left on to Cummings Highway (US-41/US-11). It will be the first traffic light you come to.
You'll immediately go under a railroad bridge, and then in about a mile you'll cross a bridge that takes you over Lookout Creek. Turn right shortly after the bridge on to Old Wauhatchie Pike. You'll see a sign for the Chattanooga Nature Center and Reflection Riding Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.
After a few hundred feet, turn right on Garden Road. This leads all the way to the Nature Center Parking lot.
