Chattanooga Grotto

1/9/2012 Chattanooga Grotto Presentation Announcement

The Chattanooga Grotto has a great January presentation that I hope you'll be able to attend. Emily Davis will be presenting on caving abroad.

Description: Misadventures of a TN Girl Caving Abroad...or What not to do while caving and traveling 101

Fairly new to the TAG scene, though growing up in TN, sure gives you a wide-eyed perspective on all that we have to do and see in our great state... aside from the glory of the Hartselle-Monteagle suckholes and our deep and beautiful classic pits. Caving makes you realize a lot about yourself and place always matters. Will share a talk on how I made my way through caves, trails, deserts, and gorges while traveling through the UK, Slovenia, Namibia, Greece, Mexico and more...what I learned or should have. Sidebars on the amazing people, humbling sights and inane situations that followed...and how I finally made it back to TAG in one piece. At least for now!

The next meeting will be on November 14 at the BrewHaus Restaurant, 224 Frazier Ave. This is just to the left of the Subway restaurant on Frazier. Since we do not have a program for this month’s meeting we’ll dispense with the formalities, cut to the chase, and convene for dinner, spreading caving lies, gossip, rumor and innuendo as we go. Our chairman may tapdance, the Vice–Chair may do his impressions of famous personalities of the 1920’s, and the TAGLine editor could recite bawdy Victorian limericks. Do join us. 7:00 PM.
